Jackbox Party Pack 6 seems to be the first game in the series to break this trend, having no true drawing game. Each installation contains five games that are designed to be played in large groups, including in conjunction with streaming services like Twitch which provide means for audiences to participate.Īll of the packs usually have the same types of games: a drawing game (ex: Drawful), a trivia game (ex: Trivia Murder Party), a fill-in-the-blanks game (ex: Quiplash 2), and 2 other games (ex: Monster Seeking Monster).
The games were released for various consoles, PCs, etc. Blather 'Round in 7, even though it caps out at six non-audience players, is also set up so that the audience can win.įor your group, I would start with 6 and 7, and then put 5, 4, and Drawful 2 (standalone) in contention for runners up if you're looking for more. The Jackbox Party Pack is a series of party games created by Jackbox Games. The games that are good in that pack have versions that are similar if not better in 6 and 7, and one of the five games, Fakin' It, will just absolutely not work with 10 people in Zoom. and it's good, but I'm gonna be a little blasphemous and recommend that you skip it and buy 7 instead. Trivia Murder Party 2 only seats 8, but the audience fulfills a very similar role (answering trivia questions) and also has the ability to beat out the other players and win the game.Įveryone is recommending 3. I think Pack 6 may actually be the best fit for your group, since Push The Button, a social deduction game like Mafia or Werewolf, will actually seat 10. This might not be a problem, especially if you've got a performance anxiety friend who wants to participate by voting but not by having to come up with things on the spot. Usually games only seat 8 before people have to join as audience members instead sometimes you only get 6. Just for the record, 9-10 people is just outside how many people these games can comfortably seat. Enable audience for games that don't allow 9/10 players. When playing on Zoom, I recommend turning on closed captioning and extended timers. The games in these packs have been redone, but better. Some of them, unfortunately, suck.ĭon't get JB 1 or 2. I'd recommend checking out a game on YouTube or something before playing it with 10 people. Talking Points is VERY improv based, and Blather Round is only for 6 players. JB 7's (my personal favorite) has Quiplash and Champ'd Up (a great drawing game) which are fun and accessible. It not hard, but it's not pick-up-and-play. If your group knows each other and is willing to learn something new, it can be a blast. JB 6's Push the Button is fantastic, but I find new players get flustered. Patnently stupid is improv based, so I wouldn't recommend it if you don't know each other well or if a chunk of your players are shy. JB 5's shining stars are Patently Stupid and Mad Verse City. JB 4's Monster Seeking Monster is great (when played anonymously) but I wouldn't recommend it for a work party, it can get uncomfortable since the gameplay is rooted in flirting. I'll echo everyone else and say 3 is the most rounded pack a good trivia game, a good drawing game and Quiplash.Ī few notes on the games that have been recommended here: Everyone is expected to conduct themselves with respect to others and with these three core principles in mind:
